11th year ANNIVERSERY

1998
SEPT 19Th 19982009

It was our 11Th year Anniversary yesterday. We didn't do much because Chris had to work and I after 2 tries gave up on trying to find a babysitter. I don't know if there are any others out there like me but I just hate trying to get a babysitter. For some reason I just feel guilty trying to bribe someone to watch my kids. So i decided we could just spend it at home. I made dinner after he got home and as Chris left to take Noah's friend home I hurried and set the table with a candle and nice table cloth and had Noah turn on love songs off XM channels. (Corny). I set the kids up to eat down stairs in the basement and they had a picnic party while Chris and I tried to have a romantic dinner with Izzie up stairs. We agreed that we weren't going to spend any money on each other for presents so I baked brownies for Chris and put them in a Rubbermaid and wrapped them. He was surprised when I brought out this present because of what we had agreed on. But when he opened it he laughed. I think he really liked it. If you know Chris any treat will make his heart grow fonder. (kind of like a dog. hahaha that is hilarious, never really thought of it that way). Then we watched a movie, got the kids bathed and in bed.
Then we both had lessons and sharing times to put finishing touches on so we enjoyed the rest of the night doing that together.
Really it was a great celebration at home. I think the kids saw how much we love each other and how much we appreciate each other.
I am so grateful for him and all he does for me and the kids.
Love you hun!!!

Aunt Jen came to visit.

K this really was a few weeks ago, but we had a great time. I didn't want to see her go. She came up with her boyfriend Kevin which Chris has been friends with for years. We love him and it's a good thing because they are now engaged as of yesterday YAAAAA! They surprised me I had no idea she was coming and Chris had snuck them in the house early early morning and when he was leaving to work he said he had a surprise for me. So I got up and he showed me that they were laying in my girls beds ( k- my kids were having a sleep out in the tent that night) I was so excited. We spent that whole weekend having a good time. Thanks Jen for coming it was a great surprise.

PRETTY LITTLE PEACH!

These are my pretty peaches that I canned with my awesome friends Carol and Jess.(Thank you!) I am so glad that they helped me do most of them- one because I totally forgot how to do it and- 2 it was sooooo much faster. I have around 66 jars. Yay! The one day we got together to do it we canned around 100 jars. WOW! WE ARE AWESOME!!!

.......and we're..... really OFF!!!

Yay! Izzie got her cast off for good on Thursday. I was really nervous that she wouldn't do well and it would hurt again, but when they took it off she timidly put weight on her leg and realized it was good to go. She has been non stop going ever since. She walks with a little limp but the Dr. said that in about 3 to 4 weeks she should be back to normal. She was soooo happy to take a real bath. She was splashing and swimming around like a fish. She got mad when it was time to get out. We are so happy that it still is warm weather so she can enjoy a few weeks of outside and water fun.
This was right after she got it off and she wanted to get down and run around
Now that it is off she is busy climbing everything. This is now her new sitting area.
Oh ya- and the top of the kitchen table.
She is such a crazy baby

First Day of School 2009

Today was the day! School is back in session. It was a good exciting day. I never knew why mom's would always be so excited when school was going to start again. Now I know!!! The summer is just the right length of time. Because by the end they just need more to keep there brains entertained. Otherwise there is a lot of fighting. Which we figured out these last 2 weeks.

Anyways Katie was sooooo excited to start Kindergarten today. She only had a half day today and for the rest of the week. Then next week she will start her full days. She woke up after the older kids went to school. Got all dressed, with her backpack and was ready. I told her she needed to sit tight because she had a few hours before it was her turn to go to school. That was very hard for her. She kept asking if it was time yet. She also had a hard time eating lunch because she was so excited. I hope she isn't hungry. I thought I would have a harder time sending her off to school she has been my little buddy for years while everyone else went to school. But she was so ready and so done with thinking mom was fun. So it is a good thing.

Also while it has been quiet in the house Izzie has been able to play with her stuff and do as she pleased without someone in her way or face. She really was enjoying it.

Noah seemed excited, but tired he woke up so early this morning that an hour before he needed to leave he fell back to sleep on the couch. So it was hard getting him back up to go. He met his teacher before hand and she was very nice. Allie seemed to like her teacher, but was not excited for school. I think it is her age.

....and we're OFF!!! or NOT!!

On Friday Izzie had a DR. appointment for her leg and the xray looked great. He said it was all healed and ready to take the cast off. Izzie was a little scared when they were taking it off because of the noise and it vibrates really bad so she had a hard time sitting still. Then when it came off they cleaned off her leg. Then told me that we could just hang out for a bit and let her stretch her leg, and when she felt ready, to come out in the hallway and see if she would walk on it. So after a little while when she felt safe again (after that scary experience) we ventured into the hallway. She was really hesitant to put any weight on her leg. But then she did and tried to walk over to Katie. Instantly she was crying hysterically in pain. I felt so so so so so bad. Then after that she would not try and walk. Sooooo the DR. decided that we would put her back into a cast but put it below the knee so she could start gaining strength in her knee. So we will see what happens in 2 more weeks. I was way too excited to give her a real bath, I think that is why things didn't go the way we hoped. hehehe!!

She is such a trooper. She had learned to walk and pretty much run with the other cast that was clear up to her thigh. I think it was pretty amazing. She also has been climbing everything and being her crazy self. Nothing will stop her. So the one she has now is no big deal. Except she keeps slipping on our wood floor.

Izzie and her new cast. Notice the 2 colors. Allie and Katie asked if they could do both and the Dr. was nice and did it for them.
Izzie climbing the outside of the stairs with her old cast.

This is Izzie running around with the girls. Also she is holding a pair of clean underwear (Yes I want you to all know they are clean) that she will go get out of the girls clean clothes baskets. She has recently become obsessed with undee's lately.

This is the reason why I think she is obsessed with undee's right now. Because they are easy to learn how to put on. I wonder how well she will do once her cast comes off for good????
